Dalhousie Tigers men's soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of defender Gavriel Tsulouhas for the 2026 season. A 6'3" centre-back from Toronto, Ontario, Tsulouhas currently competes with the North Toronto Nitros, one of Ontario's top development programs, while also playing in the high-performance L1ON talented pathway. He additionally represents Monarch Park Collegiate at the Senior Boys' Tier 1 level within the TDSSAA South Region.

Tsulouhas has earned recognition on multiple provincial and national stages. In 2025, he was selected to the U17 Ontario Provincial Xcel Team, one of the province's premier high-performance programs, and was named to FTF's Top 60 list of top Canadian youth players born in 2008. In 2024, he received an invitation to trial with the Toronto FC Academy.

An honour roll student throughout high school, he has been accepted into Dalhousie's Environment, Sustainability and Society (ESS) program.

"I chose Dalhousie University because it offers the perfect mix of strong academics and a competitive athletic environment," says Tsulouhas. "I'm excited to compete with the Tigers and play for Coach Jazic while pursuing my education. What makes this experience truly special is the chance to play alongside my older brother Isaiah and to represent Halifax—a city that holds deep meaning for my family through my grandparents."

"Gavriel is a highly technical, athletic, ball-playing centre-back who consistently performs at an elite level," says Jazic. "His soccer IQ is exceptional and his composure in possession stands out. More importantly, Gavriel genuinely wanted to be a Dalhousie Tiger. We're excited to support him as he works toward both his academic and athletic goals, and we look forward to the impact he will have on our program over the next four to five years."

The Tigers continue to build toward future AUS success as they welcome this talented defender to the Black & Gold.
