The Bisons men's hockey team added an enormous piece to their blue line today, announcing the commitment of WHL champion Luke Brenton.

The 6'4", 213-pound East St. Paul native played for the Moose Jaw Warriors from 2020-24, winning the Ed Chynoweth Cup in the 2023-24 season. A veteran of over 200 WHL games, he racked up 75 points between the regular and post-seasons.

Brenton signed an AHL deal with the Rockford Ice Hogs in 2024-25, and had 17 points with the ECHL's Indy Fuel this past season.

"Luke is a big and rangy defenceman that closes on the puck quickly and camp jump into the rush offensively," said Bisons head coach Gordon Burnett.

"We believe that Luke will help out in all aspects of our game."
