The playoff plot continues to thicken in the Pacific Division, and with six games remaining in the UNBC Timberwolves Men's Soccer season – points remain at a huge premium. This weekend, at home, the TWolves face a UFV squad who currently sits three points up on them for third place. The TWolves begin the weekend in a literal fourth-placed tie with Trinity Western with identical 3-4-2 records. The top four teams get in, and right now there are five in the realistic conversation.

THE MATCHUPS:

UNBC vs. UFV – Friday, September 26 – 11 am (SD 57 Game)
UNBC vs. UFV – Saturday, September 27 – 12 pm (Nats'ilnik Game, presented by Scotiabank)

Fraser Valley Cascades
Record: 4-1-2 (13 points, 3rd in Pacific Division)
Goals For: 20 (3rd in Canada West)
Goals Against: 5 (1st fewest in Canada West)
Most Goals: Mateo Brazinha (7)
Most Points: Mateo Brazinha (9)

Player to Watch: Mateo Brazinha

Fourth-year forward Mateo Brazinha is once again putting forth a stellar season in Canada West. The reigning Player of the Year had nine goals and nine assists a season ago, and this season he's followed that up with seven goals and two assists for nine points. He's the undisputed leader of the Cascades, but offensively he's had plenty of help from Michael Beecroft and Kevin Mailand, each of whom have supplied four goals.

UNBC Timberwolves:

Record: 3-4-2 (11 Points, Tied for 4th in Pacific Division)
Goals For: 15 (T-5th in Canada West)
Goals Against: 19 (10th in Canada West)
Most Goals: Jamie Wildash-Chan (4)
Most Points: Wyatt Lyon (5)
Most Saves: Logan Pierce (39)

Player to Watch: Jamie Wildash-Chan

Rookie defender Jamie Wildash-Chan has absolutely put himself in the mix for Canada West Rookie of the Year honours. Heading into action this weekend, Wildash-Chan leads all Timberwolves with four goals and his four points ranks him one back of team-leader Wyatt Lyon. The product of Wellington, NZ has dazzled with his footwork, deceptiveness and skill and with a big weekend looming he'll once again be called upon to play a big role in any success that the Timberwolves have in store.
