RMC
0-12-0
Having began their 2025 season Friday afternoon in Ottawa, the RMC Paladins returned to Kington on Sunday to play host to the Queen's Gaels in the team's first home game of the year. Although the Paladins were able to generate a few chances earlier, they were unable to keep with the Gaels in the end, dropping a 5-0 decision.
In the beginning, the Paladins were able to go up and down with Queen's. For their efforts, the team earned a pair of strong scoring chances off the foot and head and fourth-year striker, Chris Knock. His first attempt nearly found the top of the Queen's goal, if not for a late punch from Gaels goalkeeper, Ryan Spaans.
Unfortunately, for RMC, following those chances, the Gaels would quickly convert on their own opportunities. In the 20th minute, Queen's would open the scoring, before doubling their lead in the 33rd.
With the score holding at 2-0 heading into the second half, the Gaels would make a point of adding to the advantage quickly. With a goal in the 57th minute, and another in the 69th, the Gaels were able to pull away.
Queen's would go on to round out the scoring with one more goal in the 71st.
In goal for RMC, Tyler Muller made seven saves. Offensively, Knock led the team with two shots, and had their lone shot on goal.
The Paladins will resume their season on 7 September when they host the TMU Bold.
