UBCO started the first half with a strong offensive push, taking the lead in the 11th minute when Neala Peters scored, assisted by Abigail Taneda, marking Peters' first goal of the season.

The Heat continued to apply pressure with multiple shots on goal, including attempts by Eleni Georgacacos and Taneda, both saved by UFV's goalkeeper Alana Madec. Despite two offside calls against UBCO, the home team maintained control, earning corner kicks at both the 28th and 38th minutes. UFV had limited opportunities, with Jaidyn Jackson's lone shot going wide left just before the end of the half.

The second half between the Heat and UFV saw the Cascades generate an offensive chance in the 56th minute but Eesha Mudaliar's shot was saved by Talia Gagnon

The Heat's Taneda was a key playmaker, taking multiple corner kicks and delivering shots on goal, with a notable save by UFV goalkeeper Madec at the 59th minute. Despite several attempts by both teams, including a header by Maria Georgacacos saved in the 85th minute, the game concluded with UBCO holding onto their 1-0 advantage.
