KAMLOOPS – For the second weekend in a row the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women's soccer team will get the chance to play at home as they prepare for a pair of games at Hillside Stadium.
Taking on the UFV Cascades on Friday and the TWU Spartans on Saturday, both games get underway at 5:30 p.m.
Both nights are set to be exciting affairs with the TD Insurance Tuition Draw taking place Friday. One lucky TRU student will win $1000 in tuition credit.
Facing a pair of tough teams last weekend, the 'Pack acquitted themselves well but came just shy of earning a point in losses of 2-0 and 1-0 to the UBC Thunderbirds and UVic Vikes respectively.
TRU, who are 2-2 on the young season, will be looking to get back to winning ways against two teams they are side-by-side with in the standings. UFV holds a record of 2-2 and TWU is 1-1.
After starting their season with two losses, Fraser Valley rebounded last weekend. The Cascades won back-to-back close games over the UNBC Timberwolves by scores of 2-1 and 1-0.
While the Spartans had a bye last weekend, they entered the season ranked third in the Canada West Coaches Poll and started their 2025 campaign with a loss to No. 1 ranked UBC and a win over No. 4 UVic.
TRU earned a 4-0 victory over UFV the last time the two teams played in Kamloops and captured a historic program-first victory over TWU in their last game against the Spartans.
