5 - 1

RMC
2-8-2
Fresh off their first win since 2018, Friday night, the RMC Paladins returned to the pitch on Sunday looking to continue the momentum. In for a tough challenge against the Queen's Gaels, the Paladins battled but in the end dropped a 5-1 decision to their cross-town foes.
The Paladins were ready to battle from the opening whistle, as the two teams went back and forth to open the match.
However, an early chance for the Gaels would find its way into the Paladins net, giving Queen's a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute. Despite the early goal though, RMC would mange to get themselves back on track, and start forcing some of the play to the Queen's end.
The Paladins would net their first shot on goal when Bellarosa Ternes had her attempt denied by Queen's goalkeeper, Echo Bourbonnais in the 26th.
Inching closer to halftime, with the Gaels still leading by one, the visitors quickly doubled their advantage with a 40th minute goal. Not fazed by the deficit though the Paladin quickly responded. Just three minute after the Queen's marker, RMC's second-year striker, Angelica Labelle found herself alone in the box, following a beautiful feed from Paladins co-captain, Alex Vinzenz. Labelle then made no mistake, calmly putting home her second career OUA goal.
Trailing by just one heading into the half, RMC tried to build off of the late momentum, however, the Gaels had other ideas. Netting a pair of goals early in the second half, Queen's began to pull away with a 4-1 advantage.
The Paladins would create a couple more chances for themselves afterwards but it was the Gaels who would ultimately convert once more before the end of the match, scoring in the 76th minute.
In goal for the Paladins, second-year keeper, Brianna West made nine saves. Labelle and Ternes tied for the team-high in shot with three each.
The Paladins will now turn their focus to the TMU Bold, who they will host on 7 September.
