McLeish nets game-winner at end of first half

  • In the final moments of the first half, a Vikes free kick led to Brianne McLeish firing off a shot from seven yards out that went past the TRU goalkeeper for the 1-0 Vikes advantage.

Vikes fend off 'Pack in second half

  • Though Thompson Rivers' offensive possession increased in the second half, including seeing all six of their corner kick attempts in the final 45 minutes, the Vikes' defence held strong, seeing two saves from Stefanie Mocnik en route to keeping TRU from scoring and sealing the 1-0 win.

  • Brianne McLeish's goal marks her second of the season.
  • Victoria out-shot the WolfPack 12-6 overall and 6-4 in shots on goal.
  • Stefanie Mocnik recorded four saves in the shutout win for the Vikes, marking the team's third-straight clean sheet.
