University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball standout Delaney Watson captained Team Canada to a silver-medal finish at the 2025 NORCECA Pan American Cup, July 25-August 2, in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.

Canada opened the tournament with a narrow 3-2 loss to the defending champions from Cuba and a 3-0 loss to the hosts from Mexico. The Red and White bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Nicaragua. Canada then upset the Dominican Republic, 3-2, in quarter-final action before upsetting Cuba, 3-2, in a thrilling come-from-behind victory in the semifinals.

The squad then fell to a strong team from the United States, 3-0, to earn the silver medal.

Watson, a biology and neuroscience student, has already garnered U SPORTS and OUA all-rookie honours, and this past year earned OUA all-star recognition for a second consecutive year. Following the completion of her sophomore season, the defensive specialist has already surpassed 600 career digs.
