The York University Lions women's basketball team returns to the court this weekend, looking to carry their early-season momentum into the final stretch of the year.

On Friday evening, the Lions travel downtown to face the Toronto Varsity Blues, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 pm. York found success in their first meeting this season, securing a 74-68 victory. With both teams currently battling for position in the OUA Central division, this match is crucial. Currently, York averages 65.9 points per game compared to Toronto's 64.2 which hints towards the match being an intense, high-stakes battle.

The action continues Saturday evening as the Lions host the TMU Bold. Seeking redemption after a 62-53 loss earlier this season, York faces a formidable challenge against a Bold squad that currently boasts a perfect 10-0 record.

Fans can catch the Friday away game live on OUA TV and tickets for the Saturday home game at the Tait McKenzie Centre can be purchased HERE.
