CALGARY – After five seasons on the court with the Calgary Dinos, graduating guard Mya Proctor has signed a professional contract to play with the London Lions in the UK.

Proctor finished up her outstanding Dinos career this past season as the lone active senior on this year's squad. She was one of just two players to start all 20 conference games this season. Proctor finished the year averaging 10.4 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while leading the team in field goal percentage, connecting on 45.9 percent of her shots. She was also a force defensively for the Dinos, closing out the year with 37 steals and 19 blocks - ranking her ninth in Canada West this past year.

A local product who played at Centennial High School, Proctor made an immediate impact when she stepped foot on the UCalgary campus in 2019, appearing in 23 total games as a rookie and helping the Dinos earn a berth to the U SPORTS Final 8 where they finished fifth in the nation.

Following the COVID-19 cancelled season, Proctor saw her role steadily increase in the return to the court in 2021, averaging nearly 10 points/game each of her final three seasons. In all, the 6-foot guard graduated with 948 career points in the Scarlet & Gold to go with 361 rebounds, 163 assists, 140 steals and 67 blocks.

In all, Proctor helped the Dinos to three Final 8 appearances with a combined 118-41 overall record - including an impressive 70-26 mark in conference play - in her five years on the court at Calgary.

The London Lions compete in the Super League Basketball - the top league of British women's basketball. The have finished first in their league three years in a row from 2022-24, while also claiming the EuroCup in 2024.
