The Acadia Axemen football program has added a dynamic offensive weapon with the commitment of Campbell Harris, a wide receiver from Dieppe, N.B.
Harris, who stands 6'3 and weighs 180 pounds, joins the Axemen following a strong high school career at Moncton High School, where he emerged as one of the top receivers in the NBIAA.
A multi-year contributor with the Moncton High Purple Knights, Harris earned Rookie of the Year honours in 2024 before being named the team’s Receiver MVP in 2025. His performance at the league level also earned him NBIAA all-star recognition, highlighting his consistency and impact in New Brunswick high school football.
During his senior season, Harris recorded 25 receptions for 491 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and make plays in traffic. He also contributed on special teams, including a standout Week 3 performance against Tantramar Regional High School with two recovered onside kicks and two tackles on punt coverage. His best single-game receiving output came against École L’Odyssée, where he caught seven passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.
Harris is also a proven multi-sport athlete. At Moncton High, he competed in five varsity sports, including football, hockey, golf, volleyball, and lacrosse. His athletic résumé includes being named Moncton High School golf MVP in 2023, football team rookie of the year in 2024, and top receiver in 2025. In hockey, he earned rookie-of-the-year honours and all-star recognition at both the school and conference levels.
Harris said committing to Acadia represents the culmination of years of hard work and a long-standing goal to compete at the next level.
“It means everything to me to commit to Acadia,” Harris said. “Being a multi-sport athlete my whole life, I always knew I wanted to play at the next level. When I spoke with Coach Cummins and the coaching staff, they made me feel like part of their family. I knew right away that this was where I wanted to be.”
Harris will study kinesiology at Acadia, combining his academic interests with his athletic development as he begins his university career in Wolfville.
